Missions

The gospel that comes to us must go through us. Life Baptist Church currently supports mission work in Mexico, Japan, Korea, China, Almaty, Timor Leste and here in the U.S.
Our history with foreign missions dates back to 1987 when Berkland Baptist Church had its first mission trips to Japan and Korea. We want to spread the good news of Jesus “to the ends of the earth.” We generally have short-term foreign mission trips to Japan, Korea, China, Almaty, Kazakhstan and Timor Leste in the summer.
We do missions work not only abroad but here locally in LA. We volunteer at Set Free Church in Skid Row participating in food serving every month as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas outreach programs. Most recently, we’ve been involved with Centro Shalom Ministry in Tijuana, Mexico. We were able to visit in-person a while back and this year we started our child sponsor program. This program gives sponsors an opportunity to help sponsor a child and help them get necessary supplies and tuition for school. All the missions work we do is so that we might share the love of God and preach the good news that everyone would come to know Jesus.
